“I’m only human...”

Can any proofreader say: “I guarantee there are no mistakes in the job I am about to submit”? Only the foolish or the conceited. And such a claim is technically impossible: we cannot correct the errors we do not know about. And so we sigh and say: “We all make mistakes... After all, I’m only human.”

ProofProfessor will find the errors that your current technology and add-ons (and eyes) cannot. Our software is not human in any way, even though it’s been created by a very human proofreader, editor and former publisher, Matt Rance.

Our proofreading software trawls, crunches, interrogates, unpicks and hoovers your document to catch what you didn’t. It will correct things you temporarily forgot or thought you knew or never knew or failed to check or just didn’t see. It’s also impervious to macular degeneration, lack of sleep, the absence of coffee, the presence of alcohol, domestic kerfuffle, RSI, mood swings and backache!

The idea of technology finding things you missed – for valid, “I’m only human” reasons – may well be disheartening. But isn’t it more disheartening to find these errors afterwards? Especially if it’s the client who finds them.

To find out what you are missing – without obligation – begin by uploading your Word or PDF file here:

Your document(s) will remain entirely confidential, and we will contact you shortly about the results.
